Common is MM2’s largest weapon category, but older Commons are not automatically worthless. Retired event items, Sparkle weapons, and limited Christmas or Halloween releases can trade well above newly unboxed Commons because no additional copies are entering circulation. For nearby trading tiers, also check our Uncommon values and Rare values.
Check the full item name, year, weapon type, demand, and origin before using a Common as a trade add. Small differences such as gun versus knife or original event year can create a major difference in value.

MM2 Common Values FAQ
Are Common weapons worthless in MM2?
No. Many current-box Commons have very small trade value, but some discontinued event, promotional and collectible Commons are worth much more. The grey category label describes rarity, not a fixed market price. Check the item’s year, origin, availability and demand before discarding it or including it as a free addition to another trade.
Why are Sparkle and old event Common items valuable?
Sparkle-series and older event Commons are no longer normally obtainable, so their supply is limited. Collectors may want them to complete a series, old event set or themed inventory, which creates demand despite the Common label. Their value comes from limited availability and collector interest rather than the difficulty of receiving an ordinary Common from a current box.
Can a stack of Common items trade for a Godly?
It depends on which Commons are in the stack. A large quantity of random current-box items may still have weak demand, while one discontinued collectible Common can be worth more than the whole stack. Add the individual values and consider demand before comparing the offer with a Godly item; quantity alone does not guarantee an equal trade.
How can I identify an event Common instead of a box Common?
Check the complete name, image, event year and origin shown in the value list. Event Commons usually identify a Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s, code, reward or other limited source, while box Commons list their normal box origin. Similar names can belong to different releases, so also compare the item with relevant Uncommon values before trading.
